Measuring Guidelines

For an end panel arrangement the width depends on how wide you want your storage solution or room divider to be. Please measure to where the inside of the end panel would be, as you would for an existing wall.

End panels are typically 2620mm long x 610mm wide x 18mm thick.

Opening Height

Measure the opening height near left and near the right hand side of the opening, take the smallest measurement as the opening height. For wider openings it's usually a good idea to measure the height every 1.5m in case there is any curve or bowing in your opening.

Strike Plates

A strike plate is used to allow a good surface for your doors to butt up to. It can also even out any irregularities in the wall surface of your opening.

If you want to use a strike plate at one or both wall ends then we will subtract 18mm from the opening width you give us for each strike plate you require.

Each strike plate is typically 2620mm long x 100mm wide x 18mm thick.

Base Plates

If you want to use a base plate to ensure a good surface for the bottom track (if you are going onto carpet for example) then we will subtract 18mm from the opening height you give us.

Each base plate is typically 2620mm long x 100mm wide x 18mm thick.

Opening Width

Measure the opening width near the top and near the bottom of the opening, take the smallest measurement as the opening width For our installations we always like to 'measure twice and cut once'.
